Part of the Eastman for HR USN Fighting 20th pack, the PX cap is an exact replica of the on ship caps favoured by US Navy pilots and crew. Although not officially military issue, the caps were made locally usually by baseball cap manufacturers and supplied blank to the base PX or Post Exchange where they could be bought and then customised to their owners squadron, in this case VF-20. Made from wool with a leather headband and decorated with felt letters. Manuafctured to the original spec by Cooperstown Caps NYC who have supplied PX caps to military bases since the 1940's.
