Currently reading Doug Robinson's fantastic A Night on the Ground, a Day in the Open.
A collection of essays the by one of the most literate American climbers about his lifelong
experiences living and climbing in the Sierra Nevada. Robinson has long incorporated the
spiritual and esoteric elements of climbing in his articles and books and was part of the
Golden Age of Yosemite rock climbing in the 1960s and 1970s, climbing with Yvon Chouinard,
Royal Robbins, Chuck Pratt, Don Jensen, owner of Rivendell Mountain Works and others.
Highly recommend!

HBT kit bag with an original USAAF parachute pack pocket and 50mm webbing handles. It also has

Summer is done and the British autumn is nearly upon us! The new collection is primed and ready to start shipping into stores, hopefully they'll be enough to go round this time! AW10 sees our first Heritage Research footwear line, all of which are benchmade in Northampton, England to finest standard. The photo above shows the light grey suede Country Brogues being prepared to have their Vibram Moreflex soles Goodyear welted onto the upper! English craftsmanship at work!
VANS DUKE KAHANAMOKU

Found a few pairs of reissue Duke Kahanamoku Vans at an outlet, this is a fantastic reissue of the 1965
original,made by Paul Van Doren for the father of modern surfing Duke Kahanamoku at the US Surfing
Championships. I don't think these ever got a UK release as none of the stores ordered them! Doh!
BUZZ RICKSON SS10 T SHIRTS

Toyo have really outdone themselves with this seasons t shirts, we received a box of goodies from Buzz
this morning and were blown away. The t shirts are beautiful slub cotton with an authentic 1940's boxy
cut and reversed neck rib, made in Japan as you would expect although we've heard that a lot of their
t shirt and sweat production will be done in the USA going forward. These are as good as jersey gets.

The much awaited Eastman Leather for Heritage Research A-2 Aviator Pack will be shipped to stores this week. Make sure you get in there quick as the pack is limited to 50 pcs worldwide with each jacket hand stenciled 1 to 50 USAAF style. Most jackets have been supplied with the squadron patch loose at stores requests, if you would like the patch sewn on them the jacket can be sent to us to be applied for a true bespoke service!
